Kind fans have been reassuring Serena Williams after she expressed her upset at missing her baby's first steps

The professional tennis player was training when her baby took her first steps.

LAST SEPTEMBER, SERENA Williams gave birth to her daughter Alexis Olympia Ohanian Jr.

Today, 10 months later, Alexis took her first steps. It’s a massive milestone in both a parent and child’s life, but it wasn’t a very happy affair for Serena, as she was busy training. She put up a tweet, telling followers that she cried because she missed Alexis Olympia’s first steps.

Of course we can all see where she’s coming from and why she’s upset. However, in the grand scheme of things, it won’t matter much in the end. Fans have been reminding her this, and offering some kind words to the disappointed sports star.

One fan pointed out that baby Alexis missed out on some of Serena’s greatest achievements.

Others reminded Serena that those first steps don’t have to count.

She still could have missed those steps whether she was training or not.

Seriously. The replies just kept getting more and more wholesome.
